I lied to myself and others when i said no more machines for the rest of the year. I guess i am a promises breaker. But apparently $60 bucks gets you 1400lbs of shaper.
Hey Jacques, the router table will still be the shop work horse. The shaper isn't needed, so i can restore it to its former glory within a relaxed time frame. As of today The Davis and Wells is finally making dust.
it's a wadkin from 1949. The davis and wells i was refering to is my bandsaw. I did see a d&w shaper at auction a couple months ago i think it was a 3/4 spindle. I found the wadkin 5 minutes from my house.
now what do you do with your new router table? ah, the joys of too many machines.
