Arthur Erickson done

This was a really fun kitchen build. The other trades are done so i could come in and finished up the little things, completing the project! Here's pictures i took today:

Small beach house kitchen details.

Vanity details

The big cabinet is holding the water heater.

Lots of things in small space made the design process a little tricky, but i couldn't be happier with the results.

  1. Wow, that's amazing! The kitchen is gorgeous. I don't know anything about woodworking, but what kind of wood is that?

    What's the finish?

  3. Thanks!

The veneer face is quarter sawn American black walnut, and i used flat sawn walnut for the inside of the doors.

The finish is a polyurethane. The finishing of big projects is something i'd love to out source, but i like having control.

  4. Nice work, man!! Did you lay up wide walnut edging in the areas where you routed the pulls? Very crisp; beautiful!!
